I tried something new today that I didn't love but think might work if I tweak it. I had students graph rational functions using asymptotes and information about increasing and decreasing. I split them up into groups to each do a problem, then let them work on their own and check their answers with the boards already made up. I think that this could work with a topic that takes less muscle, but these problems just take forever. Also, some students just can't handle pacing their own work. I have to rethink this one.
