Day 93 – What does it mean if dr/dt is decreasing?

Don't you love when you can steal things wholesale from other teachers? This is from Sam. We blew up 4 or 5 balloons, each with one more breath than the last. We spent 5 or 6 minutes blowing up which gave everyone else plenty of time to think about the Calculus… I didn't even have to pose a question! This really got them talking. We ended up having a great discussion where I feel like we fixed a lot of misconceptions about r vs. dr/dt. Some students seemed overwhelmed though, so we will definitely try again tomorrow be the next day.
