Day 120 – Whiteboarding: U-Subs with Different Colors

Today, students practiced u-substitutions on whiteboards for most of the period. They used problems that they themselves made up the day before. I had them use the different colors of the markers to rewrite the Integrals (this isn't actually a good example of that above… I had them write the u in a different color than the rest of the outside function). I think that getting them to slow down and focus on the u was really effective, and I feel great about where my students are with this right now!
